About
I'm Ben Utting — an infrastructure engineer who got obsessed with AI and never looked back. By day I work in enterprise infrastructure: Azure, VMware, server operations, the kind of environment where a single process can eat hours of a team's week if no one's automated it yet.
That's exactly where I found my angle. I started using Claude Code, N8N, and custom AI pipelines to solve real problems — not demos, not prototypes, things that actually run in production and save time every day. Then I started helping others do the same.
What I do
Through Ctrl Alt Automate, I work with businesses and individuals to build AI-powered workflows that make a real dent in how they operate. That's things like:
- Claude Code and OpenClaw setup, onboarding, and custom skill building
- N8N workflow automation for anything repetitive
- RAG pipelines and knowledge bases that your AI can actually use
- MCP server integrations that connect your tools together
- Custom dashboards and internal tooling built fast with AI
How I work
I work on Upwork and take on direct clients. I'm hands-on — I build the thing, I explain how it works, and I make sure you can actually use it after I'm done. No black boxes.
The blog is where I document what I'm building, what's working, and what I'm learning. If something I've written is useful to you, that's the point.
Get in touch
If you have a workflow problem you think AI could solve, or you want to get set up with Claude Code and don't know where to start — send me a message. I'm straightforward about what's possible and what isn't.
